Why we exist
In a world of instant, ephemeral and superficial communication, deep intention has become a luxury. Taking the time and care to shape a thought for another person is, in itself, an emotional luxury.
Our approach gives feelings the leading role: we reclaim the power of words, and also of other forms of expression such as images, drawings or small creative gestures, in a respectful, authentic and carefully protected space.

None of them happens by default. Every step needs a decision from you.

You choose
Write your message, your dream or your story. Every kite can have a different purpose: choose whether it is meant for someone who left a deep mark on you, someone you quietly admire, someone who still lives only in your dreams, or a friend or a relative — the possibilities are almost endless.

You create
Everything begins in the workshop. This is where you make your kite: its content and who it may be for. It is a guided space, designed for careful expression; you can also add audio, handwriting, notes, drawings, photographs and any other form of expression you feel is right.

You release it
When you decide to release it into the KiteConnect sky, our Guardians will check that it respects the community rules and our values of authenticity, care, trust and privacy

They resonate
Although it is not the only purpose, a connection can happen on KiteConnect, and it must always be agreed. If the person it was meant for finds the kite — or someone resonates with it — they can send you a reasoned connection request. You always have the last word.
A space for expression with the purpose of connecting through emotions
At KiteConnect, connection begins with words, stories and personal experiences, never with appearance. We believe that an authentic bond does not emerge from quick judgement, but from a deeper recognition between people through what they feel and experience.
Although KiteConnect is, above all, a space for expression, it can also lead to meaningful connections — but here profiles do not connect, people do. There are two possible connections:
- Soft connection: no likes, no public exposure. Someone can mark your kite as a favourite. It is an intimate gesture that does not, on its own, open a connection.
- Direct connection: if someone wants to come closer, they must send you a reasoned request explaining why they want to connect.
Who is KiteConnect for?
The world is full of extraordinary people hidden behind seemingly ordinary lives. KiteConnect exists to uncover them through their unique stories, and to let those stories fly towards others who can recognise themselves in them, be moved by them and connect with them.
If there are moments, images or conversations that have stayed with you for years, KiteConnect gives them a voice. And, who knows, sometimes that voice may find an echo.
Sometimes you are not lacking company, but you may still be missing someone who resonates on a frequency similar to yours. KiteConnect was created so that you can express who you are, how you feel and how you think, and so that this expression of yourself can be recognised by someone capable of connecting with it.

Authenticity
What matters here is your story, your voice and your nuances, not the polish of a profile. KiteConnect wants to offer a space where you can express yourself more freely and let what you are, feel or remember find its own form.
Care
Every kite is made with intention. Text, photography, illustration, audio or a handwritten note can all be part of the same story, but what matters is the care with which you decide to build it and share it.
Trust
Safety and respect are part of how KiteConnect is designed. Kites that their authors decide to release go through human review before they fly, and connections only open with consent.
Begin in silence
Write your first kite; it can even be completely private, just for you.
